And my blog's safety has been compromised in a way. But I find I do need the creative outlet of writing and interacting with others.<br /><br />Thing is: disaster often hits when we're really happy. Not because the happiness invites it, but because life is a continuous flow of light and dark following each other, like night and day. Choosing to be sad, because you don't trust happiness since it formerly failed you, well, that's still not going to change the flow. You might as well - like you say - open up yourself to all experiences and live fully.<br /><br />We have been designed by evolution to note the scary and dangerous bits in life, that's how we've survived for so long. But having our brains tuned in to the darkness can also make life a bitter place to live in. That's we need to transcend our genes and actively keep creating/finding things which give us joy. <br /><br />Of this I am sure: there is joy in every day if we choose to experience it.<br /><br />And of this I'm sure, too: joy can be trusted.
